Glade Holiday 2014 Collection!

What, I’m back?! YES! I am so sorry I’ve been gone, life has been getting crazy lately and down time is hard to come by!

BUT I am back with a short posting today, about the new holiday home fragrance collection from Glade! I had a posting for the 2013 collection last year, and I am even more excited for this years collection! There are a total of 8 fragrances in this collection, and they all sound DIVINE! I cannot wait to get my hands on these!

sparkling spruce Sparkling Spruce: Feel the snow crunch under your boots as you join your friends for the tree lighting in the town square. Hints of frosty pine and evergreen fragrance fill the air, along with a wonderful sense of anticipation. Notes: green pine needle, spruce, eucalyptus, lavender, cedar leaf, fir balsam, cypress, cedar, and patchouli. Available in: solid air freshener, premium room spray, wax melts, automatic spray, oil warmer plug-in refills, jar candle. I typically don’t go for these spruce type scents, however I will give this one a try!

merry citrus morningMerry Citrus Morning: The annual holiday pageant offers one of the season’s many highlights. Gather with friends and family to sing songs of good cheer and share the most cherished music of the season. Notes: mandarin, aldehyde snowflakes, candy apple, red clove, musk, fruits, golden amber, frankincense, and myrrh. Available in: premium room spray, wax melts, automatic spray, oil warmer plug-in refills, jar candle. I usually love the citrus type scents, and it will be interesting to see what kind of seasonal twist glade puts on this fragrance!

apple cinnamon cheerApple Cinnamon Cheer: Fill your cup with holiday cheer! The scent of cinnamon-kissed hot apple cider warms you, body and soul, as you take an exhilarating sled ride across new-fallen snow. Notes: apple cider, mixed fruits, berries, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, vanilla, cream, woods. Available in: solid air freshener, premium room spray, wax melts, automatic spray, oil warmer plug-in refills, jar candle. I believe last year they also had an apple cinnamon scent, but this one sounds delicious!

frosted cookie partyFrosted Cookie Party: Delightfully decorated treats are the order of the day at the yearly cookie exchange. The air is rich with wholesome baked aromas, along with laughter and cheerful conversations with your closest friends. Notes: vanilla bean, whipped icing, toasted marshmallow, layered cake, and spice. Available in: premium room spray, wax melts, automatic spray, oil warmer plug-in refills, jar candle. This is one of the ones I am most excited about. I love any scents that are sweet and foodie, so this is right up my alley! I have a feeling that I will want to stock up on this one!

hot cocoa mintHot Cocoa Mint: A spin around the local ice rink becomes an afternoon of frosty family fun. And the perfect way to finish it off? Warm up to the scent of rich, hot cocoa with a delightful hint of mint. Notes: peppermint, crisp ozone, spearmint, cocoa, pine, marshmallow, dark chocolate, coconut, sugar, and candy cane. Available in: premium room spray, wax melts, oil warmer plug-in refills, jar candle. This is another one that I am really really excited about! I have seen the small display at work (I work at WalMart) but haven’t walked over to smell it because I know I’m going to LOVE it!

under the mistletoeUnder The Mistletoe: One of the sweetest sensations of the season—snuggling up closely with your sweetheart. Steal a kiss under the mistletoe, as the scent of fresh berries treats you to an unforgettable holiday memory. Notes: sugared strawberries, cherry, pink grapefruit, gooseberry, cranberry, raspberry, fir balsam, cedarwood, and garland greens. Available in: premium room spray, wax melts, oil warmer plug-in refills, jar candle. This one sounds like it is either going to be light or sickly sweet. I will give it a try though!

gingerbread jingleGingerbread Jingle: If there’s ever a time to indulge, it’s at the holiday bake sale. Everyone’s brought wonderful recipes of baked family favorites, and the sweet scent of gingerbread greets you at every turn. Notes: candied ginger, nutmeg, cardamon, cinnamon, marzipan, hazelnut, brown sugar, gingerbread, and warm molasses. Available in: jar candle. I have a feeling this one will be hard to find, being that it only comes in the form of a candle. This is too bad because this one sounds divine! Hopefully I can get my hands on it!

mocha chestnutsMocha Chestnuts: The sights and sounds of the holiday market treat your senses to pure holiday magic. Take a stroll through snow-blanketed booths filled with handcrafted toys and aromas of fresh roasted chestnuts and chocolate creations. Notes: mocha, cardamom, buttermilk, caramel toffee, almond, nutmeg, gingerbread, powdered sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and bread pudding. Available in: premium room spray, wax melts, oil warmer plug-in refills, jar candle. This one sounds awesome, and I love the packaging! I hope I can find this one, because according to a few reviews, it is hard to find.

I remember last year the scents were released early to dollar general, so I’m hoping to take a trip there this coming weekend to find them! I can’t remember off the top of my head which ones are at WalMart, as I picture the display in my head I am drawing a blank. But I am hoping to pick up something in each of these fragrances so that I can do a review for you! I hope you guys enjoyed this posting, and look forward to more postings from me! 🙂

Bath and Body Works Haul!

Hey everyone! 🙂 Today I am going to share a small BBW haul for you 🙂 I went shopping the other day and they were having buy 3 get 3 free on all of their body care..and since the holiday traditions are my absolutely favorite scents so I decided to stock up on a few things! 🙂

I stocked up on some body wash and since I didn’t wanna buy all body wash, I went ahead and bought two of the triple moisture body creams! I already have way too many of the basic scents so I went ahead and bought one of each of the new winter scents!

First of all..I love the packaging on these! It’s like a mix between wrapping paper design and Christmas sweater design! Cranberry Twinkle’s scent description reads, “A playful blend of holiday cranberry, snowy freesia and pomegranate, layered with creamy sandalwood and iced winter violets.” I really like this scent although it reminds me a lot of the pink sugarplum from last year. But I liked that scent regardless so i’m okay with that! Now, as many of you probably know from reading other blogs or perhaps you’ve discovered this for yourself, Merry Marshmallow Kiss is totally deceiving by just looking at the name. I really don’t smell any vanilla, mostly just fruity scents like pears. The scent description for this one is, “A joyful blend of fluffy marshmallow, gilded pear and winter jasmine, whipped with white amber and sparkling bergamot.” I definitely enjoy these two but I think BBW needs to be more creative with the scents they come out otherwise they’re going to start losing some of their customers.

I hadn’t stocked up on any holiday shower gel’s and since I only had one pink sugarplum left over I decided to go ahead and pick up a few bottles to get me through the rest of the holiday season! I picked up winter candy apple which is by far my favorite holiday traditions scent. The scent description for this reads, “Winter Candy Apple is a cheerful blend of ruby red apple, winter rose petals and candied orange, drizzled with crisp maple and cinnamon.” I have loved this scent since it came out. I have many of the TMC’s and a small travel size of the body spray. I could smell this all day long! The other long-time loved scent I picked up was Vanilla Bean Noel. This was my favorite scent before winter candy apple came out, and I wish my house could smell like this all day long! This is a vanilla and bakery scent and it is amazing! The scent description for Vanilla Bean Noel reads, “A merry blend of snow white vanilla, warm caramel and whipped cream, sprinkled with holiday sugar cookies and kissed with soft musk.” I also have the body creams and mist of this scent. This is one of those scents I will use probably until about March or April when it’s spring time! The other two scents I picked up were Cranberry Twinkle, and Merry Marshmallow Kiss. I figured I would have 2/3 of each scent’s ritual. I may go back and buy travel sized sprays of those two and then also pick up some twisted peppermint as well 🙂 However that may have to wait until the next buy 3 get 3 free.

I hope you guys are enjoying your week! It’s rather snowy here in Wisconsin, but I am using my free time to watch Christmas movies and catch up on YouTube videos! If there are any particular posts you would like me to do, please feel free to let me know in the comment section! 🙂 Spread this page with your friends too!

XOXO, Kayla

What’s On My Nails: November 2013

The fall and winter time are my favorite seasons when it comes to nail color. Don’t get me wrong, I love the bright colors you usually put on your nails during the spring and summer, but there is just something about the darker fall and holiday colors that just draw me in! I am going to be sharing with you the polishes that I wore on my fingernails and one color I wore on my toes!

I have always used the same base and top coat since I started really getting into nail care, and these products are staples in my everyday nail polish collection! The top coat that I use is by L’Oreal and is called ‘One stop Base’. This is a very nice base coat and it really helps the polish that I choose stick to the nail and not chip so quickly. The top coat that I use is by Sally Hansen and it is the ‘Anti-Chip Top Coat’. I’ve been using this top coat for quite some time and I can say that I like this better than the OPI top coat that comes in the mini gift sets you can buy. With the work that I do in my current job, this combo really helps my nail polish last!

The first polish i’ll talk about is the polish I painted on my toes which is by Revlon. This polish is number 660 and is named ‘Divine’. This is a gorgeous deep red polish. This was part of their fall collection I believe, and when I saw this on the shelf I knew I just had to have it! And Revlon polishes are fairly affordable, so I could justify the purchase 🙂 This polish went beautifully onto my toenails and is still on there with little to no wear off! I will definitely be using this on my nails in the upcoming months!

Now i’m going to talk about the first polish that I wore on my nails this month. This is another Revlon polish, and this one is number 220 ‘Rainforest’. This is a colorstay polish and let me tell you that it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I was on the hunt for a forest/hunter green colored polish for a while and when I saw this I immediately knew this was the one! This is a beautiful forest green with yellow shimmers in it. I am absolutely in love with this polish.

For my next polish combo I used OPI’s ‘Decades of Shades’ which is a basic milky brown, and then on top of that I layered OPI’s ‘Warm and Fozzie’ from the Muppets collection. This combo wasn’t my favorite of the month, but it was a different color combination that I had never tried before! I may go back to the Warm and Fozzie polish soon!

My next combo contained the classic style of the ‘Accent Nail’. I used Orly’s ‘Rage’ for the accent nail. A lot of people have this polish in their collection and I don’t blame them! This is the most beautiful rose gold nail polish I have ever laid eyes on. When I saw people rave about it on YouTube and then I saw it in stores, I knew it would be mine. Paired with this polish I have Avon’s ‘Berry Bliss’ which is a beautiful deep berry color. This is a perfect polish for the holidays so I know I will be turning to this polish again before the end of the season.

The last polish i’m going to share is called ‘Haze of Love’ and it is by Wet n’ Wild Megalast. This is another berry color but this is more of a pinky toned berry with a small grey undertone. Although when I put it on my nails it came out much darker, I still really love this polish. The brush is kind of hard to work with but overall I am very pleased with this polish, especially due to how cheap this was.

So I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope it gave you some ideas for new polishes to pick up. Cause what girl has enough polishes already?! I know I sure don’t! 😉

Target Haulage! :)

Hey guys!

First off, Happy November! This year has flown by freaky fast! It’s almost the end of the year, and for me, that means my favorite time of the year is here! I absolutely love everything about Thanksgiving and Christmas, and literally would leave my house decorated for it all year if I could!

Also I would like to address, I know the title of this blog is Bath and Body Works Obsessed…but I have yet to do any posts about BBW themselves! I just haven’t really had time or money to buy or look at things from BBW! I am hoping around Black Friday or even before I can pick up some candles or soaps and accessories!

But let’s get on with this haul! I am thinking about making a short video for my YT channel as well but that is a work in progress!

So I ran out to Target after watching a few people’s hauls on YouTube because there are so AMAZING products out there that are limited edition for the holidays! I am a total sucker for anything related to Christmas, so naturally I bought a lot of things that I did not need.

So as you can see…100% of this stuff I did not need to buy! But I at least was planning on buying the Glade air freshener because as you guys know from my last few posts, I had been looking to complete the collection of the room fresheners! Quick update on that, I have now found all of the scents except for the Frosted Gingerbread. I have gone to my Dollar General several times and there has not been any restock on their Glade section. I asked the SA and she just looked at me dumbfounded like she had no idea what I was talking about. So I am thinking unless I can find another DG near my area that I probably will be missing out on the gingerbread air freshener 😦

So the first item I have to show you are the new *limited edition* Lays Wavy Potato Chips dipped in Milk Chocolate! Chocolate covered potato chips have been a cult favorite in my family for many years, but when I saw that these were coming out I thought I may as well try them! Well, honestly there is nothing super special about them compared to homemade ones that I can make in my own kitchen. However they are still good! Just not worth the $3.49 that I paid for them!

The next items I have are m&ms! These are two of the limited edition holiday flavors, and I also believe there is a gingerbread one that is available only at Walmart. I love anything peppermint, and limited edition so I had to pick up a bag of each! Who knows, I may end up going back for a few more! I still have three unopened bags of pumpkin spice m&ms from the fall season because I love them so much!

The next things I picked up were these three lotions by Spa Perfect! I found these out because I watched Brandon’s haul on YouTube and he was talking about these! They were in the dollar section which is AMAZING! The first one that I am going to review quickly is the Visions of Sugar Plums (pink packaging). This one is very very subtle, almost to a point where I can’t smell anything at all! But I am sick at the moment, so once everything clears up I will be re-smelling these again! The next one is Twisted Peppermint (red packaging), and this one smells almost identical to the BBW version, but with a lesser note of vanilla. These are kind of cross between a lotion and a body cream to me. They aren’t super thick but they aren’t super thin either, so they will moisturize your hands well! And for $1 you can’t complain! 🙂 The last one is Vanilla Sugar Cookie (blue packaging). This one is a very bakery type scent. I smell more sugary sweet notes than I do vanilla. So this is definitely different than something like Vanilla Bean Noel from BBW. Overall I am actually very impressed with these, for them being only $1, but I will be sticking to my BBW TMC’s for moisturzing the entire body.

The last thing I have to talk about, is the item i’m most excited about! I have gone to Target about 4 times since the holiday collection for Glade was announced, because Walmart had theirs out right away, so I figured Target would be on the ball as well. Well today I FINALLY got my hands on Sweet Holiday Treats. The scent description reads “Indulge in the irresistible scent of rich cocoa, toasted nuts and creamy caramel from those special holiday treats”. This scent is AMAZING! I am seriously blown away by how good this smells. I sprayed it in my kitchen, and I can definitely smell the notes of caramel and cocoa! It smells like someone has been baking goodies all day, and it just really gives a pleasant aroma in the air. I am so happy that I kept my patience and just waited for the floor to be set so that I could get my hands on this scent!

So that is everything that I picked up at Target today! There were so many other holiday related items like food and decor, just I can’t even wait until my next paycheck because I will be going HAM! And now that I moved into my own house, I can decorate however I want 🙂

Until next time,

XOXO Kayla
